My new favorite post on tumblr.

so true. We’ve inherited THREE animals from other people because they could not make a life long commitment and we offered to take them. Animals are lifelong companions, not a toy or an accessory. If you can’t commit to give everything it takes to take care of that animal until the day it dies than you are not a suitable pet owner in my eyes.
